Nils Althaus narozený v roce 1981 patří k novým uměleckým objevům Švýcarska. Už během studia na literárním gymnáziu si psla písničky a skládal si k nim i hudbu a tak není divu, že hned po maturitě natočil svoje první album “Fußnote” (“Poznámka pod čarou”).
Jako herec začínal hlavně v reklamách, kde ho zahlédl Mike Eschmann a nabídl mu hlavní roli ve snímku Breakout. Nils Althaus byl zvolen švýcarskou Shooting Star na Mezinárodním Filmovém Festivalu Berlinale 2007.
